The gun has two water outlets. In reverse mode, pulling the trigger routes the water through the hidden rear jet — which points back at the person holding it. Switch modes and it sprays forward like any normal water gun.
Can the victim tell before pulling the trigger?
Not really — the rear outlet is disguised in the body of the gun and it looks like an ordinary squirt gun in the hand. That's what makes it work on adults too.
